Our History

When founders Dieter and Tina finished high school in the late 1980’s they began building their own log cabin in Brigus Junction. Stripping each log by hand and teaching themselves everything as they went. From those humble beginnings their journey to become Newfoundland and Labrador’s leading home builder began.

In 1992, they went on to build and sell their first residential home on Cherry Lane in Conception Bay South. From here, New Victorian Homes was officially born. Shortly after in 1993, Dieter and Tina marked another major milestone in their journey when they developed their first neighborhood, Cambridge Gardens.

Since then, the company has grown to include a full team of innovators, experienced project managers, and skilled carpenters, inspired by Dieter and Tina’s unique vision for design.

Over the last 30 years, our integrity, expertise, and personalized approach to customer service has allowed us to become the most trusted builders in residential construction. Dieter, Tina and the entire NVH team are extremely proud that thousands of Newfoundland and Labrador families call one of their builds home.
