Official Contest Rules
Welcome to New Victorian Homes’ holiday hide-and-seek adventure!
From December 1–20, 2025, our mischievous elf, Vic, will appear in a new NVH-related location every day. Participate for a chance to win daily prizes and a $2,500 Grand Prize just in time for Christmas Week.

How to Enter (Daily)
To earn one valid entry for each day’s prize draw, participants must:
- Comment their guess on the daily clue post
- Like the post
- Follow the New Victorian Homes page
Entries are accepted on Facebook and Instagram.
Daily entries must be submitted before 11:59 p.m. NST to qualify for that day’s draw.
Daily Prize Draw
Prize:
- $50 Gift Card
- NVH Gingerbread House
Provided by Kent Building Supplies & Atlantic Windows.
Selection:
One correct guess will be randomly selected from all qualifying entries across both Facebook and Instagram. All entries from both platforms are combined into a single daily draw. Only one daily winner will be chosen.
Winner Notification:
Winners are announced the following day in the comments on the daily post. The winner may come from either Facebook or Instagram.
Grand Prize Draw
Prize:
- $2,500 in grocery and gas gift cards

How It Works:
- Each correct daily answer earns one automatic ballot for the Grand Prize.
- Participants can earn up to 20 ballots by playing every day.
Winner Announcement:
The Grand Prize winner will be drawn and announced on Monday, December 22, 2025.
Selection:
One correct guess will be randomly selected from all qualifying entries received throughout the entire contest period on both Facebook and Instagram. All entries from both platforms are combined into a single Grand Prize draw. Only one Grand Prize winner will be chosen.
Winner Notification:
The winner will be announced in the comments and on the official announcement post. The Grand Prize winner may come from either Facebook or Instagram.
Game Format
Each day includes two posts:
- Morning Clue — A teaser hint of where Vic is heading
- Evening Reveal — A postcard and photos from his actual location
The goal: Guess Vic’s location before he causes too much mischief.
Eligibility
Participants must:
- Be a legal resident of Newfoundland & Labrador
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have an active Facebook or Instagram account
Ineligible Participants:
- Employees of New Victorian Homes
- Members of an employee’s household
- These individuals cannot win daily prizes or the Grand Prize.
Contest Timing
- Contest opens: December 1, 2025
- Contest closes: December 20, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. NST
- Daily entries close nightly at 11:59 p.m. NST
- Winners announced: December 22, 2025
- Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received
Security & Scam Prevention
New Victorian Homes will never:
- Ask for credit card or banking information
- Send prize claim links
- Message participants first regarding prize collection
Winners will only be tagged publicly in the comments and asked to send the official NVH page a direct message.
If you encounter suspicious accounts, please report them to Facebook or Instagram immediately.
